Watershed Firing Workshops
Watershed has two wood kilns, one soda/salt kiln, and a propane fired gas kiln that provides the foundation for several community firing workshops each year.
Studio Rental at Watershed
From September to May, Watershed rents studio space to the community. This is an amazing opportunity for those of you who have some experience in clay and would like space, materials, kilns, and a supportive community with which to work. Those interested should contact the office regarding rates and availability.

Mudmobile
The Mudmobile is a traveling ceramics resource center in a van. It allows Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts to bring clay art education to diverse sites and populations throughout Maine such as community and cultural centers, social service shelters, senior programs, and schools both public and private. The van is used to transport clay, tools, glazes, reference materials, and provides everything needed to a host site for clay workshops and brings work back to Watershed for firing. The Mudmobile is staffed by artists with advanced degrees and years of practice in the ceramic arts as well as experience teaching adults and children.
If you would like to know more about becoming a Mudmobile host site, or if you would like to join our corporate and foundation sponsors in supporting the work of the Mudmobile, contact Watershed at: programs@watershedceramics.org or call 207.882.6075.
Common
Ground Fair : Sept. 19-21, 2008
Every year you can find the Watershed Mudmobile at the Maine Organic Farmers & Gardeners Common Ground Country Fair. Here you can see people working with clay or work with it yourself either on the potter's wheel or at table filled with fun tools. Staff and winter residents are there to answer questions about watershed and demonstrate. The clay worked with is Watershed's native Maine earthenware clay. Stop by to see us!
