Fall Residency

This six-week residency provides ample time to explore ideas as well as produce a body of work. A panel of field professionals will select up to eight artists forming a dynamic environment ripe for creative interaction and self-directed exploration. This is a new and unique opportunity at Watershed for artists to immerse themselves in the studio, free of the distractions of their usual environment while taking advantage of our extensive facilities.

Duration: 6 weeks - September 1 - October 15, 2012

Residency Fee: Participants pay $2200; includes housing (private room in shared cabin) and large studio; residents are responsible for their own food, materials and firings. 50% deposit due upon acceptance. Balance due August 1.

Among the responsibilities and activities Fall Residents are invloved during their stay - pursuing work in the studio, cooking their meals, representing Watershed's Mudmobile program at Common Ground Country Fair, participating in a farewell exhibit at Gallery One Eleven in Wiscasset - few can argue that the most unique is giant pumpkin carving during Damariscotta's Pumpkin Festival!

Application postmark deadline is May 1, 2012.
