Housing and Fees

The cost of a Watershed session is the combined total of the residency fee and the housing fee. Residents are required to stay on campus during their residency. Artists who register for a summer residency and pay their tuition in full by March 31st receive a $50 discount off their residency fees. To secure space in the summer residency of your choice, please register online and submit a $200 non-refundable deposit, which is applied toward your total costs. Residency participants who wish to be considered for Watershed scholarships or work-exchange positions must submit the separate financial aid application by February 15. Artists can choose single or double cabin rooms, with either private or shared bathrooms.

Watershed has several housing choices available on a first-come, first-served basis, including single- and double-occupancy rooms with either shared or private baths. Typically, three to five residents will share a co-ed bathroom. If you have any special housing concerns, please contact Watershed to discuss your needs. Rooms with shared baths have twin beds; rooms with private baths are furnished with a full bed. All rooms have armoires and additional storage for clothing and personal belongings. Watershed provides pillows and blankets, but residents must bring their own sheets and towels.

  • 2-Week Session: $875
  • 2.5-Week Session: $1,150

  • $200 deposit: Due upon registration
  • Early bird discount end date (pay in full and receive $50 off): March 31
  • Half of the remaining balance: April 10
  • Final payment for Sessions I, II and III: May 10
  • Final payment for Sessions IV, V and VI: June 10

Payment methods: Watershed accepts personal checks and credit cards. You may mail a check or call us at (207) 882-6075 to make a payment over the phone. If you’d like to pay online, Watershed can invoice you through PayPal at your request. Please email us at info@watershedceramics.org to have an electronic invoice sent to you.

Watershed’s refund policy: For cancellations 30 or more days prior to the start of the residency session, a full refund–less the $200 deposit–will be given. For cancellations less than 30 days prior to the residency session, no refund will be given.
