Administrative Assistant: Fiona Clark
info-at-watershedceramics.org
Fiona is pleased to join Watershed’s creative community. As a practicing studio artist, she is enamored of
process and the well-made object. Building on her BFA from the Cleveland Institute of Art and years producing
works in blown glass, Fiona has had the opportunity to attend Penland School of Crafts and Haystack Mountain
School for flameworking and Maine College of Art for jewelry and metalsmithing.
From their homes in Cleveland, Ohio, Burnsville, North Carolina and now Jefferson, Maine, she and her partner,
Vincent DeLisle, have worked together as Firefly Studios. In this collaborative effort making work in
combinations of blown and flameworked glass, spun and fabricated metals, and turned wood, they have exhibited
in many of the top craft fairs including Coconut Grove Arts Festival, St. Louis Art Fair and the Lakefront
Festival of Arts at the Milwaukee Art Museum where they were awarded a Best of Show in 2002. Currently
Fiona’s focus is making jewelry with her own flameworked glass beads, mixed metals and bead weaving
techniques. Fiona and Vincent are members of the Maine Crafts Guild and exhibit their works in
several of the Guild’s events throughout the year.
A recent commission for a leaded glass window and a family quilt project have opened
doors to more narrative development and continuing exploration for Fiona.
