I use cartoon imagery to communicate the violent discrepancies that are innate in being human. The figures I create are strangely distorted by their circumstances. It is left up to the viewer to speculate on circumstances that led to the current state. Within each body of work each piece contributes to a larger narrative. The narratives I stage are open-ended and inspired by myths, dreams and the subconscious. Intentional distortions correspond to an inner world usually hidden from the public. By summoning personas that I feel are dangers to my true being I can question my own unconscious motivations.
