2024 Pre-Session Application

Please complete the application below to be considered for Watershed's Pre-Session program. Deadline to apply is April 12, 2024 and Pre-Session will run from May 20-30. Artists will be notified of their application status by April 19 and a non-refundable room & board fee is due by April 26.

If you have additional dietary needs, please explain further under the Additional Info section below. Staff will follow up with you to determine if your dietary needs can be met during the residency.
If you wish, please share any information pertaining to your well-being that Watershed staff should be aware of prior to your residency. This can include housing/roommate preferences, dietary information, accessibility needs, etc.
Work Trade Agreement*
I agree to work 6 hours each weekday for Watershed during the Pre-Session residency period. I understand that I may be working inside or outside in various weather conditions and that the work may involve lifting, cleaning, and getting dirty. If my plans change and I am unable to attend Pre-session, I will inform Watershed as soon as possible.
Please briefly describe any prior volunteer experience or other skills you believe would be an asset to Pre-session. Specialized skills such as carpentry and general building maintenance, grounds keeping, painting, and cleaning are highly desirable.

    Permissions

    Email address release*
    I grant Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts permission to share my email address with other members of my residency group in order to facilitate conversations around communal goals, kiln firings, travel, etc.
    Photo Release*
    I grant Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts and its authorized representatives permission to record my likeness and images of my work during the time that I am in residence. I further agree that any or all of the recorded material may be used, in any form, as part of publications, videos, brochures, advertisements or other digital or printed materials used to promote Watershed. I acknowledge that since the use of my likeness and my work is voluntary, I will receive no financial compensation.
    Liability Waiver*

    COVID-19*
    In 2023, Watershed was forced to cancel a residency mid-session due to a majority of artists contracting Covid-19. We cannot predict what health and safety measures will be in place for 2024 residencies and Watershed reserves the right to adjust policies and protocols.
