Workshop with Natalia Arbelaez

Join artist Natalia Arbelaez for a 2.5 day workshop focused on building manageable large scale sculptures. Natalia will share her modular construction method, which allows for sections of the sculpture to come apart for firing in smaller kilns and easy transportation and shipping. The workshop will also cover ways to create internal structures – post firing – to support finished sculptures. Basic clay techniques of coil and slab will be used and can be applied to a variety of forms, from the rudimentary to the more complex and detailed. All levels welcome.

Dates: April 26-28
Fee: $410 (includes breakfast, lunch & clay)
Optional Housing: $65/night double room; $90/night single room
