This workshop will focus on Ceramic Artist Yoonjee Kwak’s unique coil-building technique. Clay coils and bits will be accumulated outward and upward, employing a technique similar to fiber weaving but in clay. Demonstrations will cover a range of sculptural vessels, for example, from small functional cups to a small moon jar, presented step by step. Over three days, participants will explore the beauty of progressive, meditative growth by building one coil at a time. All levels welcome.
Dates: October 25-27
Fee: $410 (includes breakfast, lunch & clay)
Optional Housing: $65/night double room; $90/night single room
