Join us! Watershed offers several volunteer opportunities during the spring, summer and fall months.
Annually, during the last two weeks of May, a crew of dedicated volunteers trade labor for time and space at Watershed. In exchange for free studio access, room and board*, 20 volunteer artists work six hours each weekday for Watershed (repairing and cleaning studios, equipment, and resident rooms in preparation for the summer season). Evenings are free for studio time or for exploring midcoast Maine.
*There is a $20 registration fee to join 2017 Pre-session. This fee is refundable up to 45 days before the start of the session if you need to drop out for any reason. After April 9, 2017, no refunds will be given.
Salad Days, Watershed’s annual celebration of ceramic art and locally sourced food, is held on the second Saturday in July. Joining our crew of staff and Board members, volunteers help ensure that this huge picnic runs smoothly for hundreds of guests. Volunteers help with set-up, greeting guests, serving food and beverages, managing parking, and clean up.
