Education & Outreach

Watershed offers a range of educational programs, including special sessions that expert teaching artists develop for individual schools and community groups, and kiln-firing weekends for groups of clay artists, such as high school and college ceramics students. Weekend workshops are a wonderful way to learn about and stay connected with Watershed!

  • Firing Workshops Watershed’s firing workshops—held in the spring and fall–provide exposure to Watershed’s atmospheric kilns (wood and gas), and can help you get certified to rent the kilns for personal and group use as a firing leader.
  • Guest Artist Workshops Watershed offers periodic weekend workshops led by nationally recognized artists. These sessions offer opportunities to discover Watershed, connect with other ceramic artists, and learn new skills and techniques.
