About the Instructor

Hope Rovelto is an artist, educator, and owner of Little Chair Printing, a custom screen printing shop, whose practice spans screen-printed t-shirts, zines, posters, ceramics, installations, and community engagement events. Hope holds a BFA in Sculpture from Maine College of Art and an MFA in Ceramics from RIT. Their work harnesses graphic & repeatable imagery to engage with political dialogue, social transformation, and to move art beyond galleries and into daily life, inviting everyone to engage with political discourse. In 2016, Hope built a mobile screen-printing studio on a bicycle, bringing hands-on printmaking directly into communities. They have since taught screen-printing classes throughout Maine and, this past year, taught a Print on Clay class at MECA.
